An Epitaph to Get You Out of Debt

An Epitaph to Get You Out of Debt

Don’t worry; you don’t have to die to get out of debt. However, an epitaph is great framework to living a life of positive thinking that will help you get out of debt. Sounds crazy, right?

An epitaph is short and sweet. It sums up your life in three or four words. There’s not a lot of room there. Think of what you want in life. Do you want it to read:

· Kept his garage clean

· Achieved sales quotas

· Sold 10,000 vacuums

· Excellent resume

I like to equate my epitaph with my life mission. A life mission is short and sweet. No need to get wordy about it – just like your tombstone.

· Great dad

· Great husband

· Great educator

I could live with that. Three things – that’s all you need. Once you gain perspective you are on your way to get out of debt. Take a stab at what you would want on your tombstone or said at your eulogy. If it’s not clear, take that as a sign that you need to find where you are at in your life mission. Don’t be hard on yourself. It will change throughout the course of your life.

Even the magnetic north pole changes course 30-50 miles per year in the Northwest direction. Your life mission will also change direction, and that’s okay, too. I used to think that “great husband” was my life mission, but I might combine “great dad” with “great husband” to say “great family man”.

That way, I can add one more mission statement. I know that I want to live volunteering my time to help empower people in their life mission. I know how to get out of debt, now I am going to teach it. In the process, I will install it in my life that much further.

To get out of debt:

· Make a list of what you love doing and pick three things you can do on it now.

· Take the things of highest importance from your love list.

· Stop doing the things you procrastinate on.

· Formulate your life mission.

· Only do the things you are good at.

One time I had a friend ask me what I thought he should do about picking between two jobs. One paid well, but he hated the job. The other job he loved but it paid less. I asked him what he expected from the job he loved. He told me that he would probably succeed doing it, get promotions, raises, and his family life would improve.

Well what did he think if he took a job he hated? Well, let’s just say that between depression, marital problems, and wallowing in debt, the answer wasn’t pretty.

What does this all mean? It means that by making positive changes in your life, you will be on the road to living debt-free and improving your self-confidence.

Wealth Secrets – All You Need is Love

Wealth Secrets – All You Need is Love

You can go online any day of the week and find a million different Internet gurus that claim to have the exact formula to achieving wealth secrets. Some of these people have the right idea, but they simply don’t have the experience to put proven methods to work. Other people are so far off track, and they never even realize it. Before you know it, you’ll find yourself pushed into the latest Internet trend selling hair loss treatment or vitamin supplements.

Beware: don’t do it unless you really love it. The wealth secrets that these so-called gurus haven’t mastered are the distinction between doing what you love and less of what you don’t. At the same time, don’t make this tragic mistake, “I love it so much that I’d probably do it for free.” That one thing that you think you’ll do free, turn it inside out and make it the only thing that you’ll do to make money.

The first thing you’ll need to do is identify what you love, of course. Did you know that I will never join a gym even though I am healthy and happy? I hate going to the gym. I have to find different things to do to keep me interested. One of my favorite things to do is climb steps. This is why I live in a high-rise apartment. Whenever I travel, my managers always look for a hotel with lots of stairs.

I love stair climbing, so I created a goal to take on a 300-mile foot race in the North Pole by training myself with by climbing stairs with a 100-pound backpack every day. The first day, I couldn’t even do one flight. By the end of the week, I was able to climb ten flights. Every small amount of effort I made brought me that much closer to my end goal. If I had chosen to do this by working out in the gym, it never would have happened.

Your first step in doing what you love is creating a real and uncensored list of loves. Sadly, most people tend to censor what they love. If they were to say I would love to spend more time with a certain friend, they censor it to say all of their friends in order please everyone. Usually, when I ask someone to make a list of what they love, the first thing on the list is spontaneous and the rest are censored because, they feel like they should say they love their wife, job, school, etc.

The list needs to be about you and what you love. Otherwise, you’ll just be setting your list up to live the same life that you already have. Do you love to read? When is the last time that you sat down and read for the sake of enjoyment? Do you love to spend time with your children? When’s the last time that you set aside time just for them? The things that are important to you need to be a priority.

To master these wealth secrets there is a proven formula that I have been working on for the past 20 years. It is called, “The Annual Love Letters”. To find out more, check out the free link below.

Double Your Income on the Internet by Learning a Lesson From Google’s Famous Barcode Tribute

Double Your Income on the Internet by Learning a Lesson From Google’s Famous Barcode Tribute

In early October 2009, Google’s famous homepage was different. Instead of the usual word “Google” at the top of the page with each letter in a different color, there was instead a black and white barcode. There was no explanation. There was no warning beforehand. There was just this enigmatic barcode.

Tens of millions of people clicked on the barcode, which was a hyperlink, and discovered that it was Google’s tribute to the 57th anniversary of the invention of the now-famous and ubiquitous barcode.

So what? How does this teach you a lesson which will allow you to increase your income, indeed even double your income? The answer lies under the topic of Trend Marketing.

Since there were up to 100 million Google searches that day involving the word “barcode” — way way higher than on any previous day in Internet history — it is clear that the world wanted to know about barcodes because of Google’s tribute.

All you need do is come up with any way to connect what you do to a barcode and then post an article on an article-hosting website,  or else on your own blog and presto you will get some of those 100 million searches clicking on your article or blog.

Let me give you an example. I teach people how to double their income doing what they love. So, I posted this article called “Double Your Income by Learning a Lesson from Google’s Famous Barcode Tribute”. It does not matter how far-fetched is the connection, just make some connection and you will get some of that huge traffic. Of that huge traffic, some will come to your website and squeeze you their name and contact information and your database will thereby grow and you will earn a higher income, eventually double.

Another example? If you are a therapist, you could write an article “I See You As An Individual, Not A Barcode”. If you are a plumber, you could write a blog post entitled: “I Fix Leaks, Not Barcodes”. If you are an eye doctor, your blog post might be: “Can You Actually Read a Barcode?”. You see, even a fanciful connection is OK. It will attract traffic. That is the key to success on the Internet.

Income – Increase Yours Through Delegation

Income – Increase Yours Through Delegation

Business owners and career professionals have a few characteristics in common that allows them to be successful. One such trait is their ability to delegate tasks that can be accomplished better by someone else. This action can be the difference in whether you earn a high income.

We have become expert goal setters. We have clearly defined the action steps needed for success. We have also changed the way we look at life, and the happenings in it. Now we must master the art of avoiding procrastination.

Procrastination is an action, or lack of action, that can kill productivity. It can cripple you in your personal financial status, and it will ruin the progress of a growing business that you own. Procrastination limits your ability to sustain the momentum you have gained from all of the other positive life changes.

One way to avoid procrastination is to remember the lesson of doing what you love. You can also draw from knowing that you must limit your daily actions to those special talents that you are truly good at. Limit what you physically do to just a few (3 or 4) things every day.

By choosing only the tasks that you love and that you are good at, you will have no problem in accomplishing them in a timely manner. This productivity is built in, as you enjoy doing the things you have assigned yourself. Delegating the other tasks, while every bit as important as the ones you chose for yourself, can be performed by a peer or staff member who may be better suited for them.

Making the connection between delegation and procrastination is pretty simple. Say you have to paint three more paintings for your art show. The promotional flyers need to be designed and printed, and the caterer needs to be notified of last minute menu changes.

You are adequate at writing promotional copy, and terrible at the software suite that designs the flyers. You know this task needs to be done for the show, but you put it off until the last moment, and then end up spending double your budgeted amount on the rush print job and the design help you got from the printer.

The three paintings that you turned out were not your best work, and the menu got changed, but to the satisfaction of the caterer and not you, the star of the show! By failing to delegate the flyer work and the event planning, you procrastinated in getting those tasks done. It caused your art to suffer, and cost you money.

This ripple effect can be avoided by simply focusing your efforts on what you do well, and delegating the rest. By delegating the other tasks you would have focused on your painting, and ensured that the quality of the art at the show was up to snuff. Your event also would have been attended by more people perhaps, and the food would have been to your liking as well.

Procrastination in the form of failing to delegate tasks to others is just one way that you lose momentum in business. No one can be everything to everyone. That is true in life, and it is also a wealth secret that many who earn a high income know.
